Rules & Policies
Please review all policies before your trip
Cancellation Policy
- All rentals are paid in full in advance.
- Reservations canceled at least 48 hours before the scheduled float are eligible for a full refund.
- Cancellations made within 48 hours of the trip are non-refundable.
- If Ripple Kayak Company cancels a float due to weather or unsafe water conditions, guests may:
- reschedule within the same calendar year
- OR receive a refund
- Weather-related cancellations will be posted on the website homepage.
- No refunds will be issued for:
- no-shows
- guests arriving too late to float
- rented items not used
Alcohol Policy
- No hard alcohol permitted on the river.
- Small coolers only.
- Coolers may need to be held on your lap during shuttle transportation.
- ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS BOTTLES OF ANY KIND.
- All coolers are subject to inspection.
- Ripple Kayak Company reserves the right to refuse service to anyone who appears publicly intoxicated.
River Rules
- Disorderly conduct will not be tolerated.
- Ripple Kayak Company reserves the right to refuse or revoke service at any time.
- Respect private property along the river route.
- Stay within the river corridor and public access areas.
- Do not climb riverbanks onto private land.
- No inflatable tubes or outside inflatables permitted.
- Outside inflatables are not allowed on buses or shuttle vehicles.
- Wear your life jacket at all times while on or near the water.
- Be courteous to other paddlers and river users.
- Help keep Indiana rivers clean by properly disposing of trash.
Equipment Responsibility & Damage Policy
- Equipment returned after the daily cut-off time will incur late fees.
- Late fee: $20 per item for every 20 minutes late.
- Damaged, lost, stolen, or abused equipment may result in additional charges.
- Charges may be applied to the card used during reservation.
- Group reservations: The individual providing payment is financially responsible for all rented equipment and participants in the group.
- Ripple Kayak Company is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items on the river, shuttle vehicles, parking areas, or company property.
- Guests may contact Ripple Kayak Company regarding lost items. Occasionally items are turned in by guests or staff.

Ripple Kayak Company is committed to providing a safe, enjoyable, and respectful river experience for all guests. These policies help protect guests, staff, equipment, public parks, private property owners, and the White River itself.
White River Live Conditions
Ripple Kayak Company continuously monitors White River conditions using NOAA river gauges, weather radar, forecasts, and on-site observations. River conditions can change quickly due to rainfall, tributaries, storms, and upstream conditions. All trips may be delayed, modified, or canceled if conditions are determined unsafe.
