How We Became A White River Paddling Company
Ripple Kayak Company was born from a lifelong love of the White River.
For more than 15 years, we've spent countless hours paddling, exploring, and enjoying the peaceful beauty of Central Indiana's waterways. Together, we've discovered hidden stretches of shoreline, watched wildlife along the riverbanks, enjoyed quiet evenings on the water, and introduced friends and family to one of Indiana's greatest natural resources.
Some of our favorite memories on the White River include sharing the adventure with our dogs—Roo, Vada, and Odie—who love the outdoors as much as we do.
What started as a shared passion for paddling eventually grew into a simple idea: more people should have the opportunity to experience the White River the way we do. We founded Ripple Kayak Company to make river recreation safe, easy, and accessible for everyone—from first-time paddlers looking for a relaxing float to experienced outdoor enthusiasts seeking a new adventure.
Nicole brings a professional background in recreation, aquatics, safety, and risk management, helping ensure that every trip is organized with guest experience and safety as the top priorities. Stephen's passion for the outdoors, logistics, and river exploration helps create a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish.
At Ripple Kayak Company, we're more than a kayak rental business. We're river advocates, outdoor enthusiasts, and local paddlers who believe the White River is one of Central Indiana's most overlooked treasures. Our goal is simple: help more people connect with nature, create lasting memories, and discover the beauty of the river we have loved for years.
Whether you're looking for a peaceful float, a new outdoor adventure, or simply a chance to slow down and enjoy nature, we look forward to welcoming you on the water.
